Welcome to Spring (Almost)!

With the arrival of spring (just around the corner) comes new things. Some will choose

to plant vegetable gardens, flower gardens, walking in the park, riding bicycles, or even a new

hobby. With all the choices we have in life there is none greater than to love your neighbor. So,

as we begin a new Spring let us not forget the least of us and pursue in helping our fellow

neighbor, after all, we are only has strong as our weakest link. As we step day by day on the

path that God guides us on, we also hope that He leads you on a path that is prosperous for all

of you.

We have been very busy, and sometimes delayed in rearranging the shop to provide the

best products for you, our friends, family, and new customers. We have a great line up of

fabrics, notions, patterns & books that have arrived just in time for spring, and we have more

coming throughout the year, so keep a close eye on what we have in store for you. We also, will

be participating in the 36-highway quilt trail that begins April 1 st and ends October 31 st . Not only

are we participating in this event, we also have chosen to be a part of the All-Missouri shop hop

that begins September 1 st through October 31st!

We have started new classes that occur every other Wednesday as well as our monthly

quilting class. We, also know there is a great interest in “Learning Longarm” quilting and we did

a trial run at the end of January and believe we had success. Our classes that we have for

Wednesday is focused primarily on small one day projects that last about a half a day. We have

several ladies who will be leading in these day projects. Angie will post these on face book and

email, so make sure we have your correct information. Our March quilting class will be this

Saturday, March 4 th with Laree Lager so please sign up quickly. The class is called “It’s a Snap”.

Please call the shop and let Angie know.

Another new class we will introduce is “Learning Longarm”. Vince will be providing step

by step hands on instruction on our longarm machines. These classes will be scheduled the last

Saturday of the month. March class is scheduled for March 25th (weather permitting). Wow,

we have such a large interest in this class and look forward to teaching each of you. To best

make this a success, Vince will be limiting it to 4 students per class. There is a form attached for

you to fill out and return it to us. Once we have received all information, your name will be

entered into a pool, and we will draw names for each class. If you are selected, you will have

the opportunity to complete a quilt project not to exceed 60” X 75” (Throw) and must be

completed 2 weeks after class.

Well folks, I think that’s all for now. Angie and I hope to see all of you shopping in our

shop, taking a class, or just stopping in to say HI. Our next newsletter will be out in April. Hope

to see you soon!
